About Our Training
Course Description
Hilmas Observation & Engagement Training is a half-day interactive course designed to equip participants to observe and engage effectively in care and mental health settings. Through expert-led instruction and role-playing scenarios, attendees learn how to monitor individuals’ well-being, communicate with empathy, and respond appropriately in challenging situations. This course emphasizes both interpersonal skills and practical techniques, preparing caregivers, support staff, and healthcare professionals to provide safe, compassionate support in various care environments.
Â
Participants will gain insights into why people behave the way they do and how to engage them in a positive, respectful manner. The training also covers fundamental safety and emergency response practices. By the end of the session, attendees will be more confident in their ability to observe subtle cues, de-escalate tense situations, and foster a therapeutic environment that promotes trust and safety.
