The Highfield Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England) (RQF) (90 Credits) is aimed at individuals aged 19+ wishing to extend their occupational competence as professionals within the health and social care and children and young people sectors, and who are working as care managers or advanced practitioners within these sectors.
Designed for senior staff and management professionals, this course empowers you with the skills and knowledge required to lead care practices effectively and compassionately.
Whether you’re a team leader, supervisor, or service manager, this in-depth qualification strengthens your understanding of safeguarding, care planning, and workforce leadership in line with Ofsted standards.
In order to achieve the Highfield Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management)
(England) (RQF) learners must achieve a minimum of 90 credits overall. In order to complete this pathway learners must achieve the following rules of combination:
- All six units in mandatory group A totaling 30 credits;
- A minimum of 60 credits from the remaining groups, including;
44 credits from mandatory core group B1;
A minimum of 12 credits from group B2; and The remaining credits to be taken from groups B2, B3 or B4 with a minimum of 1 credit and maximum of 6 credits being taken from group B3.

In order to register on to this qualification, learners are required to meet the following entry requirements:
- Be employed in a suitable role (as outlined above) within the health and social care or children and young people’s sector.
- It is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy and numeracy (or equivalent) to undertake this qualification.
- Additionally, it is recommended that learners are able to demonstrate prior achievement of qualifications at a minimum of level 3 in a related area.
- It is recommended that learners will have completed a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Hold a senior or management role within the Children & Young People’s Workforce
- Have access to workplace activities for assessment and evidence gathering
